Cadence Café
Coffee and cake in members' gardens every summer, raising thousands for Force Cancer Charity.
What is Cadence Café?
Cadence Café is BG&E’s summer charity event series. Each event is hosted in a club member’s garden — we arrive by bike, there’s coffee and homemade cake, and all proceeds go to Force Cancer Charity.
The format is simple: you ride to the venue, pay a small entry fee for cake and coffee, chat with other members, and then ride home. It usually runs over several Sunday mornings across June and July, fitting neatly into the usual Sunday ride calendar.
Force Cancer Charity
Force is Exeter’s own cancer support charity, providing free practical and emotional support to anyone in Devon affected by cancer. They run a centre at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and offer everything from counselling and complementary therapies to benefits advice.
BG&E has raised thousands of pounds for Force through Cadence Café over the years. We’re proud to support a charity that does such important work for people in our local community.

Cadence Café events are open to all club members and their guests. Event dates are announced in the member WhatsApp group and on our Facebook page each summer.
